Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for a quote?
No. A quote is free and there is no obligation. A full written survey with photographs and a defect report is £180, and we refund that against any work over £2,000 you go on to book with us.
How far do you travel?
We cover PE30 to PE38 and the PE13 and PE14 side of the Cambridgeshire border. That is King's Lynn, Hunstanton, Downham Market, Swaffham, Wisbech and the villages between them. Beyond that, ring anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth our while or yours.
Can you come out in an emergency?
Ring before noon on a weekday and somebody will look at it that day. Making the roof watertight and pricing the proper repair are two separate visits, and the first one is not where we sell you the second.
Is the scaffold included in the price?
Yes, and so is the skip. Both are itemised so you can see what they cost, but they are in the total. If the job overruns and the scaffold has to stay longer, that is our problem and not an extra line on your invoice.
What happens if you find something once the tiles are off?
Work stops and you get a phone call with a photograph, before anybody does anything about it. Rotten rafter feet and a failed wall plate are the two usual ones. You decide whether it gets done and at what price. We do not carry on and put it on the final bill.
