A listed house on the North Brink with water coming through a top floor ceiling. The parapet gutter behind the frontage had been lined in one continuous run of lead with no expansion joints, so thermal movement had split it in two places, and both splits had been mastic'd.
We stripped the old lining, renewed the sole boards where they had rotted, and re-lined in code 5 lead in bays with proper drips between them, sized to Lead Sheet Association guidance. New outlets and a fresh chute through the parapet.
Listed building consent was in place before we started, and the detail was agreed with the conservation officer beforehand.
