About Tim’s Roofing

Tim’s Roofing is five people: Tim, who has been on the tools since 2004 and running the firm since 2011, Callum and Dean, who run the re-roofs, Josh, who is two years into his apprenticeship, and Rachel, who runs the office and is the reason anybody gets called back.

What we work on

Pitched roofs, mostly in clay pantile and slate, which is what west Norfolk is roofed in. Flat roofs in EPDM. Leadwork, which is the part of the trade fewest firms still do properly, and chimney work, which is where a surprising share of "roof leaks" turn out to live.

How we price

Somebody gets on the roof first. Then you get a fixed, itemised price in writing with the scaffold and the skip in it. If we find something once the tiles are off, work stops and you get a phone call with a photograph, before anything is done about it. That is the whole of our commercial philosophy and it is not complicated.

Where we work

King’s Lynn, Hunstanton, Downham Market, Swaffham and Wisbech, and the villages in between: PE30 to PE38, plus PE13 and PE14 over the border. Coastal work from Heacham up to Brancaster is a decent share of what we do, and it is specified differently from inland work for good reasons.
