A four bedroom terrace off the London Road, last done in the 1950s. The pantiles themselves were in good order, but the battens had gone and the felt underneath had perished to the point where it was doing nothing at all.
We stripped and stacked the pantiles, re-felted with a breathable membrane, re-battened throughout and re-laid the original tiles, buying in about 140 replacements to make up breakages. New code 4 lead to the valley and a new tray and apron to the chimney. Dry ridge and dry verge mechanically fixed.
Six days on site plus the scaffold. The roof matches the two either side of it, which a new concrete tile would not have done.
